Program Note

A short lyrical piece, Bloom aims to capture themes of youth, love, the warmth of spring, and the end of things we once knew as new possibilities await. The major mode opening, delicate and melodic, blossoms to a quick and rhythmic section in the middle, as if a flower has bloomed! However, the somewhat cold and somber ending reminds us the brevity of the life of a flower, and perhaps more: enjoy it while you can, and make the most of it!
