Program Note

Distant Reflections is a set of three short works for clarinet and piano which explore a range of musical characters and qualities. The work is structured reminiscently of a sonata, opening with a agile and luscious Fantasy, followed by a romantic and elegant Song, and closing with an off-kilter dance with the spirit of a Scherzo.
