Program Note
Expansion explores the widening of space and the progression of entropy in the physical world as depicted through performance. Beginning from a singular element, events unfold over time as dictated by a set of rules predetermined by our natural universe. In this [musical] universe, these rules are flexible, and the unfolding of events is presented through player determined musical pitches, articulation, gestures, and rest.
