Instruments
Since becoming a composer, Connor developed interest in creating instruments in order to achieve acoustic pitches beyond the range of standard instruments. Developing these instruments served as a hands-on learning process for sound comprehension, instrument building constraints, musical practicality of register, and more. Nonetheless, these instruments have served as inspiration for musical compositions and improvisations.
Expanded Toy Piano

In 2017–2018, Connor modified the tines inside of different toy pianos to create a multi-piano instrument capable of playing outside the standard range for the toy piano. This documentation includes notes on the work of other like-minded musicians and other possible techniques.

Piccolo Glockenspiel

From 2018–2020, a glockenspiel with a chromatic range of C8–E9 was produced by the efforts of several friends and colleagues. The development of this instrument, pitched higher than standard glockenspiels, also reflects experimenting with producing harmonics on glockenspiel.
