Program Note

Unity for clarinet, violin, and piano features musical material where the three parts interweave to create a foundation of texture and color. This music becomes intensified and altered as an emotive state of calm moves toward anxiety before ultimately resolving to a state of peace at the end. Throughout the piece, the three parts will join together in moments of repose, unifying both in musical character and musical performance, allowing one another to break away again in harmony.
