Inspired by global events in 2022, Again and Again is a nine-minute, intense rush of emotion informed by all parts of the world. When devastating things occur repeatedly with no anticipated change, some people wonder whether or not it is even worth keeping hope for freedom and people to exist for everyone. This piece contains elements of true rage and fury, but at the heart of this music is a loving desperation for a better place. The violin in this piece is the sounding board for all nuances of despair and challenges both the player and the audience to approach their absolute limits.
