It's Pinocchio!
The Music
The Music
It's Pinocchio! by Daniel Smith is an original adaptation of The Adventures of Pinocchio. This play uses several types of media to tell its story, including incidental music. Connor created 30 minutes of music to be played underneath the action of the play's scenes, most of which was used throughout the show. A few tracks were not used, whereas others were used in other places in the show. This music is intentionally scored for a "MIDI chamber orchestra."
Since the July 2018 premiere of It's Pinocchio! some of the music has been rearranged for concert performance. Below is a catalog of all of the music created for It's Pinocchio! listed in the original order of intended use in the show. The original instrumentation is less specific to divisi of instruments due to the project focus not centering on a concert performance of the written music.
