Liminal
• written for 3 Violins and Percussion; 11' 00"
( 2020 )

Life consists of spaces which we move between at certain points of our lives. The transitional space between these phases of life are known as liminal spaces. Thus, Liminal is a musical exploration and introspective consideration of these spaces. Whether these spaces are dissonant and agitated, such as with the opening sonorities, or calm and spaced, as with the harmonic stasis halfway through the work, or both, is specific to the individual. Where are you?
