Love Words pokes fun at the absurdity found in young love while setting Romance by Claude McKay. The poetry depicts scenes of passion and a vocabulary of many types of words: those of love, of madness, and of dreams. All of these words, to some degree, are sweet but senseless. There is a commentary on this truth, but the poem does not seek to reject it; instead, it can be said that young love is an essential and warm keystone of maturity.
