Night Voyage imagines a journey set at sea, moving from peace and rest toward motion and unease. This shift is illustrated through fluctuating timbre of bow placement, rhythm, and registration. These effects aim to create a sonic mist, much like a mist that might make visibility at sea quite difficult. Moving through alternating sections of rest and rush, the waters finally settle triumphantly with a beaming major chord as the journey concludes successfully, quietly fading into the remainder of the night.
