Swept Away

The expression to be swept away can take on different meanings dependent on one's emotional state. A virtuosic passage could impress you and sweep you away, a rough ocean wave may threaten you and sweep you away from shore, and you yourself may sweep away something to deal with later. As an intersection of all of these themes, this work aims to capture the emotional valleys and mountains of life, as well as the raw, visceral memories that sweep all of us, for better or worse, off our feet.
