The Infant’s Grand Adventure brings one young child from the playpen to the other side of the room: a daring quest over unfamiliar ground with many obstacles ahead. The journey of crossing the room is represented through the alternation of dramatic sound motives including collections of leaps, bisbigliando, quarter tones, and series of multiphonics. All the while, the player stamps out rhythms with their foot to represent the steps that the infant takes.
