Where Words Fail

Where Words Fail was a collaborative concert between Connor and the String Area of the University of South Dakota, directed by professors Ioana Galu and Sonja Kraus. The program centered on themes of emotions and scenarios where there are no words to fully express or comprehend a scenario, the words are not the correct or best ones, or the right words are used but are repeatedly misunderstood to a point of exhaustion.

From the University of South Dakota were the Arioso Chamber Players (violins and violas), the Ensemble Zusammen (cellos and basses), and the full USD Chamber Orchestra.

Four works by Connor were on the program, two of which were world premieres. Ensemble Zusammen performed the world premiere of Paul Lombardi’s Exulansis.
