Who We Are

Who We Are was the third of a three-concert mini-series titled Human Experiences. Each program delves into an aspect of our lives, this program centering on themes of identity. This concert served to have both a diverse range of identities represented by the composers but also a diverse range of narrative and emotional characterizations throughout the concert, informing the selection of the concert’s 9 pieces. From happy childhood memories to guttural cries about the world, our lives are built upon who we are and focusing music around these themes reinforces why we make and perform music today.
