Spain: It Begins!

Hi everyone, this is my first blog post for my upcoming trip to Spain! This trip is mostly sponsored by various donors to Wagner College and donations made at various concerts arranged by our Music Department. My ability to go to Spain is also indebted to many individuals who either donated to my GoFundMe campaign, or instead spread the word and offered their best support. The original pricetag that the students were given: $1500. However, the price was lowered to $500 due to more sponsor donations, and I had already raised $500 with GoFundMe. Thank you to those who contributed!

​The Wagner College Choir has historically embarked on many incredible performance tours; you can read about the history of our choir in this story on Wagner's website. The choir traveled to Germany and Austria in 2013, one semester before I started college, and this was the first international performance tour the choir did since 1990. Four years later, in the spring of 2017, I get to conclude my senior year at Wagner College by singing with some incredible friends and musicians during my first trip outside of the United States.

During the trip, I will be posting here in order to document it and share a few moments and memories with friends and family back home. We leave today, on March 9th and return on March 19th. Stay tuned for some very exciting posts; I can't wait!​ -Connor
